At Sacred Companions Xolos, our first priority is the safety and well-being of every puppy we place. While we love meeting families in person, we understand that the perfect home for one of our Xoloitzcuintli puppies may be located across the country. For this reason, we offer carefully coordinated transportation options.

Is Flying a Puppy Safe?

This is one of the most common questions we receive — and the answer is yes, when handled responsibly and professionally.
We only work with reputable, USDA-compliant pet transport services and airlines that maintain established pet-safe travel programs. Every transportation partner is carefully vetted for safety standards, experience, and humane handling practices.
Our puppies do not travel as unattended cargo. When air travel is required, they fly in the climate-controlled passenger section accompanied by experienced pet flight nannies who supervise them throughout the journey.

Comfort & Preparation

We take thoughtful steps to ensure each puppy travels comfortably:

• Soft, secure travel crate
• Absorbent bedding for nesting
• Familiar scent item from our home
• Age-appropriate chew or comfort toy
• Clearly labeled feeding instructions
• Hydration accommodations for the duration of travel

Before departure, each puppy is gently prepared for the transition to minimize stress. Our years of experience allow us to confidently say that our puppies adjust very well to travel and arrive relaxed and ready to meet their new families.

Travel Timing & Monitoring

Most flights range between 2–6 hours. We always select the most direct route available and confirm all departure and arrival times in advance.
Throughout the journey, we maintain communication and are able to provide you with real-time updates regarding your puppy’s travel status. Your puppy typically arrives the same day they depart.
